Ch Valdavid Rubis

Rubis

Rubis was a daughter of Ch Graemoor Labradale Smoky. She was returned to us as a young adult by her elderly owner who was unable to keep her. Rubis completed her championship in one weekend with three Wins two of which were BOB wins over several specials. She in turn was the dam of champions and a master hunter.

Rubis was our house dog fifteen years passing away quietly in her sleep. She will always remain in hearts as one of the special ones.

Smoky was a good producer who's can still be found in many breeder's pedigrees. He was a great moving dog with a winning personality and pretty headpiece.

More history...

This page is not yet completed and is still under construction come back beginning of November 2007 to see some fun and interesting photos!

Labradale was the exclusive handler for Valdavid Saint Bernard's for over fourteen years where we handled Saints into the top three winners in Canada for over a decade. Many also became American champions. Valdavid Saints were found at many specialties and shows throughout Valdavid's reign. Carol David since retired and she is sadly missed, her commitment to the Saint was unwavering.

Among the many champions our personal favorites included BISS Am/Ch Siegfried's Becky Thatcher foundation to Valdavid and BIS Am/Can Ch Grand Pres Billy de Valdavid.

BISS Am/Ch Siegfried's Becky Thatcher

Above Becky is pictured completing her American Championship with a major at the 100th AKC anniversary held at the Philadelphia.

She was one of the founding girls of Valdavid, she was bred to the top Saints imported by Carol David from Switzerland. The results were not only quality conformation but soundness as well. Always Valdavid was committed to quality throughout.

Multi-BIS Am/Can Ch Grand Pres Billy de Valdavid

Billy had multiple BIS's, many group wins and placements in his wonderful career. He was also the most lovable giant as gentle with a small puppy as a new mother with her baby. He remains also in our hearts and our memories.
