FLASH! Cali made her Canadian show debut Oct 2008 and what a debut! Shown only once before as a youngster we have been waiting for her to grow up, well it was worth the wait. Cali was awarded WB, BOW, BOS for her first four points.Thanks to respected all-breed judge Charlie Francis! Also thanks to our friend Ross Brennan of Labradale for showing her for us.

Briar is black female with an outstanding happy disposition, although typical of a Labrador she does have a stubborn streak! Bred by our good friend Gladys Rogers of Snowden HIll fame Briar has much to offer us and we're pleased to add her to our lineup.

Briar gets along with everyone, greets all visitors with a wagging tail and bouncy attitude. Not yet shown due to other obligations she possesses great quality, including excellent angles, good bone, pretty face and expression. Add to this a thick, dense waterproof coat, lovely length of neck and a solid level topline with her tail carried directly off and we're anxious to see what she will produce.

Cali is a fun loving chocolate girl with a soft, easy going disposition. She brings to us some new chocolate lines to breed in with our successful "Darcy" kids. See Ch Miron Kaffe Latte of Labradale and Am/Can Ch Labradale's Coffee Crisp.

Cali shown below at three, having just whelped her first litter sired by 'Coffee'. She has matured into a wonderful sweet girl with one of nicest personalities and temperaments that one could ask for in any color. Cali is quiet and calm around the house, but outgoing and energitic in the field. Watch for her to make her ring debut once she's back in shape later this fall or early next spring.

In 2005 we had the distinct honor of Briar and Cali's sire visiting us here in Canada. "Glenn" ( Multi BIS / Multi BISS Am/Can Ch Winterwinds Glenn Plaid) came to stay at Highcaliber for a few months. Here he managed to worm his way into our hearts with his winning temperament and personality, he slept on the bed and was my constant companion for this time frame.

During this time he built an excellent conformation record as well, handled in Canada exclusively by either Highcaliber or Labradale in twenty-two wins he was #4 Labrador in Canada for 2005. In his short Canadian career, highlights include BISS and three BIS's. He also won two US speciality shows during this time frame and a BOSS handled by his US handler Rusty Howard. Glenn's show career has been outstanding, as of 2005 it includes four BIS and ten specialty BISS wins plus he was #2 Labrador in the US two years running.

Glenn's influence is still very noticable here at Highcaliber through Cali and Briar. Also through his son BISS BOSS Am Can Ch Journeys Thai One a top notch boy himself.
