August 1997 to March 2012

We included Sage under our stud dogs as he has been very influential to us here at Labradale and Highcaliber.

He impacted our bloodlines where his influence is still felt today. His amazing career allowed us to travel to many places where we made great new friends along the way.

Owner handled in Canada by Liane, highlights of his show career included multiple Best in Shows and Best in Specialty Show to his credit. One of the few Labradors who has been awarded both of these prestigious wins.

His career includes three BOSS, one BISS and two BIS not to mention his Sporting Group wins/placements and respectable number of JAM’s at specialties. Never actively campaigned we are very proud of his remarkable career.

Even as a youngster Sage stood out. Finishing in Canada as a puppy with multiple group placements.  He was RWD at the 1999 Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac spring specialty at 20 months. He was shown actively at specialty shows until he was eleven, when we retired him after he was awarded a JAM at GBLRC Specialty.

Today Sage is still found behind many of our bloodlines, this includes two of our current Stud dogs, Dany (MBISS Am/Can Ch Snowden Hills As Time Goes By) and Knight (Ch Linjor Rock Knight) who are both Sage grandchildren.

Below are some additional pictures of his career:

This best was from Nigel Aubrey-Jones, a respected international all rounder known the world over. He told us it was the first time that he’d awarded a Labrador a BIS in twenty-five years He said Sage had “demanded I give it to him”.
