PERM REG’D KENNEL WITH THE CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB
Labradale is run by Ross Brennan and Liane Chaput-Brennan, and was established in 1973. Highcaliber was run by Sharon Luckhart and established in 1981. We have merged the kennels into one using the Labradale prefix.
For over five decades Labradale has been actively breeding winning Labrador Retrievers of outstanding quality with the foremost goal for wonderful family companions.
We remain committed to preserving this great breed, this goal is of the utmost importance to us. Many people try to improve their breeds but our goal for the Labrador Retriever is to preserve this amazing breed, we remain committed to producing dogs with the original purpose always in mind.
We actively show our Labradors competitively in both Canada and the U.S.A. We’ve been fortunate enough to have several of our dogs win top honours through the years, including multiple Best in Shows and Best in Specialty Shows, as well as High in Trials. As well as producing/owning several top five Labradors in Canada and one in the US. In fact Rain was top Labrador and Number 3 Sporting Dog in Canada in 2021. To our knowledge the only female to have this honour and first Labrador to be in top three sporting for over forty years. She truly represents the standard in beauty, brains and type.
The heart of our program however, remains the lovely Labrador puppies we occasionally have available for loving homes. These puppies represent our future. The past greats influence our current dogs who in turn will produce our future. We also offer quality stud dogs to approved girls.
Although our lineage and pedigree’s have produced many champions, obedience and field titled dogs, as well as therapy dogs, our focus remains on producing sound Labradors in body and mind that meet the breed standard.
We are all life members of the Canadian Kennel Club, Chateauguay Valley Kennel Club and Club du Labrador du Quebec. Ross and Liane are also life members of the Labrador Retriever Club of Canada and the Labrador Owners Club. Sharon is also a member of the Labrador Retriever Club of Canada, as well as the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc. (AKC) and Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac. In addition, Sharon is a CKC Hunt Test (All levels) and Working Certificate Judge (All levels) plus a CKC/AKC Conformation Judge.
